I have joined a Ravelry group called Maltese Knitters. What a wonderful moderator. Romina has sent me links to sites for socks and drop spindles. She is an amazing mentor for the group. She has posted some beautiful photos. A great influence and inspiration. I am going to start socks this weekend. A year and a half bad sock experience. I have also purchased a drop spindle. After several hours of dropping I ended up with a bulky yarn about 18 inches long. Not going to give up on it.
The need for a wheel/spindle came after an are show. I watched an artist spin fiber. The colors...WOW. I have purchased 4 skeins from her. Can't pick a favorite. They are all vibrant and better than I expected. Kittygrrlz. Excellent! She has won my heart. I am a customer for life.
This weekend is dedicated to finishing Maria's arm warmers (an 18th birthday gift) and starting my socks. I love the colors of the yarn so it should be that much easier.
