I have just been reading through the links on the “telegraph uk” that my friend Sue linked. She lives in Italy. I am so sad looking at this site. The true devastation of this tragedy. I am unable to stop looking at the before and after photos of beautiful buildings that no longer stand. It is really so much worse to see the scenes I have seen on the television. My heart is just breaking and I am overwhelmed with the fact that I can’t help these people. I was watching the video and my mind flashed back to 9-11 when the World Trade Center towers went down. I am trying to see the positive that so many did survive but cant help but having my heart torn out for those that have lost everything. Loved ones, homes, cherished memories. I am trying so hard to write this down but my eyes are filled with tears of sadness and my mind is blank for the words I want to say.
During this weekend we will be celebrating Easter. Many people will be with friends or family. Eating to much, indulging in fabulous chocolates. Watching for the beginning of spring. It is my hope that these people will have the chance to find a time to be happy once again. To find food to eat and fresh water to drink...and maybe some chocolate...
